Job Description
The role
We are looking for dedicated professionals trained to independently assess, treat, and transport patients, administering a range of treatments including oral and intramuscular medicines.
Casual positions are available within Patient Transfer Services (PTS) for staff from other departments who would like to pick up EMT shifts in PTS.
As an EMT, you will ensure the highest standards of patient care, consistently delivering efficient, effective, and professional services. You will provide leadership within your EMT Authority to Practice, exemplifying professionalism and clinical excellence in every situation and interaction.
You will work across the Wellington Free Ambulance region and may be deployed to one or more of the following Business Units within the Operations Group, following induction:
Emergency Ambulance Services
Patient Transfer Services
Desired Skills and Experience
Who we are looking for
To be successful in this casual role, you must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and demonstrate patient-centred professional clinical practice. You should have the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
You will also have a recognized ambulance qualification to at least a Level 5 Ambulance Diploma or equivalent (this is essential) and be currently working at WFA at EMT level.
