About the Role
Are you passionate about driving impactful learning experiences that shape the future of emergency services? We have two 18-month contracts for Senior Learning Specialists to play a pivotal role in enhancing business capabilities and delivering exceptional learning outcomes.
Leveraging your expertise in adult learning principles, you’ll design, develop, and evaluate innovative and engaging solutions that empower individuals and teams to thrive. By building strong relationships across WFA, including with senior leaders, you’ll position yourself as a trusted partner in driving business results through tailored learning initiatives.

Our region covers an area from Cook Strait in the south to just north of Waikanae around Peka Peka on the Kāpiti Coast. In the Wairarapa, our area goes as far north as Mt Bruce. What You’ll Bring to the Team
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience.
- 5–7 years of experience in learning design and adult learning theory.
- Expertise in developing multi-environment learning solutions, including virtual, digital, and face-to-face.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems and tools like Articulate 360.
- Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving business needs.
- A collaborative mindset with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in team environments.
