About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst to collaborate with key stakeholders and business users, identifying challenges and opportunities to enhance our technology and ways of working. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in modernizing WFA’s ICT landscape, ensuring we fully leverage migrations, new implementations, and cloud transformation.

We’re the only emergency ambulance service for Greater Wellington and Wairarapa and proud of the place we hold in our communities, and the high-quality care that our people deliver every day.  As well as providing emergency ambulance services, Wellington Free Ambulance also provides a Patient Transfer Service that transports patients to and from scheduled healthcare appointments, a Clinical Communications Centre answering 111 calls, and Event Medical support to a huge number of community, sporting and festival events. We also teach our communities lifesaving CPR skills through The Lloyd Morrison Foundation Heartbeat Programme.

Wellington Free Ambulance has been described as having a boutique feel due to the specific region we serve.  Our region covers an area from Cook Strait in the south to just north of Waikanae around Peka Peka on the Kāpiti Coast. In the Wairarapa, our area goes as far north as Mt Bruce. In total, around 500,000 people call our region home. Job Description

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting analysis and gathering requirements to define WFA’s current state, problem statements, and areas for improvement.
  • Partnering with project teams and stakeholders to maximize the benefits of new technology adoption.
  • Contributing to insights and recommendations for business cases.

Desired Skills and Experience

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in ICT or technology-related projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Experience with working on an information management project e.g SharePoint or other document management system implementation is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite, including Project, Visio, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong active listening abilities.
  • Highly organized with a strategic and tactical approach to planning.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent work experience.
  • IIBA or similar business analysis certification is preferred.
