We are seeking two Paramedic Lecturers to deliver our Paramedic Degree and Postgraduate Diploma programmes at Whitireia’s Porirua campus. Paramedic academic education has rapidly evolved since professional registration—this role is transformed and full of opportunity.

About the Role

  • Lead the next generation of paramedics by developing and delivering evidence-based education that prepares students for both academic and clinical success.
  • Shape innovative, inclusive learning experiences, using best-practice methodologies to design curricula that meet student needs and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with clinical, academic and community stakeholders to champion clinical and cultural competence.
  • Remuneration will reflect your Authority to Practice and/or academic qualifications.

Essential Criteria

  • 3+ years’ operational experience as a Paramedic or in urgent/unplanned care.
  • Authority to Practice of Paramedic (or equivalent) with current registration.
  • A relevant undergraduate degree (Lecturer).
  • A relevant undergraduate degree and postgraduate qualification (Senior Lecturer).

What We Offer

  • Monday to Friday, 40-hour working week.
  • Porirua location with on-site parking.
  • Full-time (1.0 FTE)
