Job Description
About the role
We are seeking a Patient Safety Co-Ordinator to support the Patient Safety Team with their work in the management of information requests, complaints, adverse events, and related reviews. This key role will be an integral part of our Patient Safety Team and will also work closely with the wider Clinical Governance Team. Responsibilities will include assisting with the preparation of data, entering and maintaining accurate records, liaising as necessary with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring timeframes are monitored effectively from initial notification through to closure.
The work of the Clinical Governance Team is varied and challenging, and this role is pivotal in the effective support of the Patient Safety Team and the wider group.
Desired Skills and Experience
Key Requirements Essential:
Proven experience in a coordination or administrative role
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Highly process-driven with strong attention to detail
Team Player
Desirable:
Previous experience in health, patient safety, or clinical governance
Learning from Harm Certificate (HQSC)
Understanding of the emotional impact of working with sensitive or distressing clinical and safety-related information, and strategies for managing vicarious trauma
