We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Digital Product Manager to lead the direction, development, and lifecycle of Wellington Free Ambulance’s digital products and platforms.
This is one of the new roles joining our Digital and Data function and will play a key leadership role in shaping how digital solutions deliver meaningful value to our organisation, our people, and the communities we serve. You’ll bring together organisational strategy, user needs, and technology delivery - ensuring our digital products are impactful, user-focused, and future-ready.
This is a highly collaborative role, working in close partnership with teams across the organisation, as well as external vendors, to maximise the value of our digital investments.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
Leading and developing the Product team within the Digital and Data function, establishing effective product management practices, ways of working, and governance.
Partnering with business stakeholders to define product vision and strategy that is aligned with the organisation’s strategy and the digital and data roadmap.
Owning end-to-end product lifecycle management, from discovery and design through delivery, optimisation, and retirement.

Skills and experience
We are looking for a highly experienced and capable leader who brings a strong mix of strategic thinking, delivery focus, and people leadership. In this role, you will demonstrate:
At least 5 years’ experience leading product management teams (or in a comparable senior application management role)
10+ years’ experience in product ownership and management, or equivalent application management experience
A proven track record of successfully delivering complex software products to market
Experience managing large and complex portfolios of projects and initiatives
Strong people leadership experience, with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams
Demonstrated capability across strategic planning, resource and budget management, product and application management, risk management, technology delivery, and stakeholder and vendor engagement.
