Job Description

About the role

The role sits withing the Wellington Free Ambulance Public Safety Network (PSN) Programme team. The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing individual projects essential for WFA to realise the full benefits of transitioning to the PSN capability.
  • Ensuring that WFA projects and activities relating to PSN are delivered on-time, within scope and budget.
  • Assisting in identifying the change management needs for a smooth effective transition of WFA onto the PSN capability.

This role could suit a Senior Project Co-Ordinator who has developed into the Project Manager role (experience in the PM role of over 2 years is required).

Desired Skills and Experience

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate experience in managing successful projects and hold the PRINCE 2 (or similar) qualification.

You will also have:

  • Excellent project co-ordination and planning skill.
  • ICT project management experience.
  • Mastery of relevant project management tools – such as Microsoft Project
  • Experience in organisational change efforts and projects
  • Proficiency in the basic Microsoft suite – including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and SharePoint, and Teams.

Ideally you will have experience in:

  • Co-ordinating and managing large-scale projects, and dealing with a regularly changing environment
  • Leading and / or supporting large-scale organisational change efforts
  • Working in the Emergency Services sector
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
