Wellington Free Ambulance is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Educator to join our team on a 12-month fixed term, covering parental leave. Based in Thorndon, you’ll play a key role in developing and delivering high-quality clinical training to our frontline staff during a time of exciting growth and change within our Clinical Education and Training (CET) team.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in designing and delivering our Induction and Onboarding programmes for new staff
- Facilitating clinical education through online, face-to-face, or blended learning formats
- Assist in creating and implementing course materials and training resources
- Leading bridging programmes for new frontline staff
- Supporting staff with development plans when training gaps are identified
- Collaborating with learning design and LMS specialists to ensure high-quality delivery

Who we are looking for:
You’re an experienced and motivated clinician with a passion for education. You bring:
- At least 2 years' experience as a Paramedic (ATP or higher)
- A commitment to your own professional growth
- A passion for building capability and fostering clinical excellence
- Strong tech skills (intermediate in Microsoft Suite, advanced in PowerPoint)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Flexibility to support evening or weekend sessions when needed
- A collaborative, proactive approach to working with others
- An understanding of adult learning principles
